Join us on 25 April 2026.
UAL Central Saint Martins.
One day to gather, share, connect.
Across crafts. Across disciplines.

Why attend?

Expect talks. Expert panels. Debates. Exhibitions. Interactive displays. And space to meet the people you don’t normally get to meet.

You’ll leave with ideas, contacts, and new perspectives. Not just on your craft – but on where it’s all going.

Discuss designing for different mediums and explore new tech and time honoured craftsmanship.
Meet artists and innovators eager to showcase tools, crafts, materials and new technologies.

Who’s it for?

Production designers, scenic makers, painters, set builders, prop makers, stylists, creative directors, CGI and VFX specialists come together to discover, interact, share, and be seen.

Creators across disciplines including live performance, film & TV, retail display, immersive experience, brand activation, events and fashion.
Suppliers and artists showcasing their tools, services and crafts, designed to support visual storytellers.

Why exhibit?

If your product, service or platform genuinely supports visual storytelling, Set & Scene puts you in front of the people who use it, influence it, and recommend it.

Your brand is experienced in context – as part of the craft ecosystem these professionals trust.

Showcase your tools, materials, and innovations to a hand-selected community of designers, art directors, and creative visionaries.
Connect with the people who shape creative budgets and visual worlds, developing partnerships across screen, stage and immersive.

Why partner?

Designers for screen, stage & experiences don’t attend large trade shows in the same way – and they’re rarely gathered in one place.

Set & Scene is designed to do exactly that. For sponsors, this gives you unprecedented quality of access to your audience. Without distractions.

Champion the fusion of heritage craft and cutting-edge tech, empowering designers to innovate across industries.
Open up commercial work opportunities and collaborate with creatives, artists and decision-makers.

Why Set & Scene matters to sponsors and partners

Set & Scene brings together a highly specific, hard-to-reach audience: the people who shape what audiences see on screen, stage and immersive experiences.

Production designers, scenic makers, painters, builders, prop makers, CGI and VFX specialists don’t attend large trade shows in the same way – and they’re rarely gathered in one place. Set & Scene is designed to do exactly that.

We’re bringing together visual storytellers working in film and television, performance and theatre, live events and immersive experiences.

For sponsors, this gives you unprecedented quality of access to your audience. Without distractions.

Set & Scene is a focused, one-day event in the heart of London. It’s an event where conversations happen naturally, relationships form quickly, and your brand is experienced in context – not as noise, but as part of the craft ecosystem these professionals trust.

If your product, service or platform genuinely supports visual storytelling, Set & Scene puts you in front of the people who use it, influence it, and recommend it.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d love to have a conversation.

If you have been searching for  collaboration and connection, then Set & Scene is for you.

Hosted at the renowned arts and design college UAL Central Saint Martins,  Granary Square, Kings Cross, London.

Behind the Scenes

Meet the Set & Scene founders

Set & Scene was born from a simple realisation: identical creative conversations were happening within each sector, yet nobody was connecting the dots pan-industry. We exist to bridge that gap.

Bimla Jackson brings over twenty years of creative events industry and brand experience, most recently heading up operations for the British Film Designers Guild. Born into a theatrical family, Bimla’s passion lies in connecting and inspiring creative minds, giving them a vital space to grow and share brilliant ideas.

Yosien Burke brings thirty years of film and TV industry experience, where she has championed creatives and suppliers through training and sustainability initiatives. She played a key role in developing the British Film Designers Guild’s Planet Positive Awards and is dedicated to introducing cross-industry sustainable expertise and knowledge to Set & Scene.

Murray Ashton adds a global perspective to the team. As the founder of The Location Guide and FOCUS, he has been instrumental in building international partnerships that shape the creative landscape. His understanding of the industry’s commercial and creative needs helps Set & Scene deliver world-class opportunities.

Set & Scene was created because everyone involved in building worlds rarely get to be in the same place - even though they rely on each other every day.Whether you’re a prop maker, designer, scenic artist, freelancer, or workshop technician, Set & Scene is a chance to see new tools and technologies up close, learn new ways of making, meet the suppliers behind the materials you use, and connect with people who might become collaborators, friends - or your next colleagues. If you’re an exhibitor, it’s a space to see what your peers are doing, understand where the industry is heading, test ideas, and meet new talent face to face. Not through CVs or pitches, but through real conversations, demos, and shared interests. If you’re a buyer, producer, director, theatre owner, or venue operator, Set & Scene brings everyone together in one room. Makers, suppliers, crew, designers - all visible, approachable, and working across disciplines. It’s a rare chance to understand how things are made, who’s making them, and how collaboration can happen more easily.Set & Scene spans film & TV, theatre and performance, live events, immersive experiences, brand activation, retail display, museums, and themed environments - reflecting how stories move fluidly across platforms and spaces. We’re really excited to be hosting the inaugural Set & Scene event at UAL Central Saint Martins in Granary Square, King’s Cross. Known globally as a leading institution for art, design, and creative innovation, Central Saint Martins has long been a place where boundaries are pushed and new ideas take shape. It’s a fitting home for a show that celebrates both traditional craft and emerging technology.📍 Central Saint Martins, London📅 25 April 2026Tickets will be released soon.Join our mailing list to be the first to hear when they go live, along with speaker, exhibitor, and programme announcements - link in bio!Thank you @aaronrozanski for this brilliant sizzle reel!#SetAndScene #CreativeCollaboration #MakersAndDesigners #DesignCommunity #BehindTheScenes
