This session puts the spotlight on the construction skills that bring set designs to life. You will hear directly from leading construction and scenic build teams as they share practical lessons from standout projects in film, theatre, and live events. Through a series of 10 mins case studies, you’ll learn how teams solve complex engineering challenges, translate design intent into breathtaking structures, and approach sustainable materials and techniques in real-world production.

Above all, the session is a chance to celebrate the artistry embedded in every stage of scenic construction. Explore the craft and problem solving that transform sketches into structures—and gain a renewed appreciation for the hands-on creativity and collaboration across screen, stage and experiences.
