From the watch on a character’s wrist to the objects placed on a kitchen counter, nothing in a story world is accidental. Every detail is chosen to communicate character, status and time — and sometimes, to shape how audiences perceive the brands behind them.

This session explores how objects and products influence storytelling across screen and experience. From editorial and cultural insight to brand strategy and on-set decision-making, the conversation looks at how real-world items are integrated into fictional environments without breaking the narrative spell. The panel will unpack how thoughtful placement can deepen authenticity, subtly influence audience behaviour, and extend story worlds beyond the screen. When it’s done well, you don’t notice it at all.
