Discover how the UK’s prop houses and costumiers help bring stories to life through craft, knowledge and collaboration. Behind every convincing world on screen, stage or in live experience are skilled makers who understand the language of character, period, texture and detail.
At its heart, this session is a celebration of human creativity in the face of AI. The makers are storytellers in their own right: shaping narrative through eye, design, costume and the remarkable skills of the human hand.
The discussion explores the vital relationship between designers and the specialist suppliers and craftspeople who help realise their ideas. It highlights how collaboration, deep material knowledge and traditional skills continue to drive innovation and solve creative challenges across film, theatre and live experience.
Due to designers’ schedules, the full lineup of speakers will be confirmed on the website on 1 April.
