Tomorrow’s experience: the evolution of spatial storytelling

Audiences are seeking ever more immersive and visually rich experiences, and designers are increasingly asked to create environments that move beyond the traditional screen or stage. From purpose-built digital venues such as the Lightrooms to large-scale concert environments and hybrid performance spaces, the boundaries of live experience are rapidly expanding.

This forward-looking panel brings together designers working across immersive exhibitions, live entertainment, and venue environments to explore how the next generation of experiences is being shaped. How does the design process change when the audience is free-roaming rather than seated? What happens when projection, architecture and physical set all combine to create a single environment? And how do designers balance spectacle, storytelling and technology when the space itself becomes part of the narrative?

Together, the panel will discuss how creative teams are adapting their craft to new formats, new venues, and new expectations, and what this shift means for the future of scenic design across screen, stage and immersive worlds.

Due to designers’ schedules, we will confirm the full lineup of speakers on the website on 1st April.
