Andrea has been working in horticulture for over 25 years, and has been a gardener at Glyndebourne since 2018. Andrea works mainly in the productive garden, growing dye plants, fruit and vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. She has a particular interest in the ‘useful’ plants, and has been researching and growing dye plants for about 15 years. Andrea established the dye garden at Glyndebourne in 2018, and have been using plant dyes in costumes on stage since 2022.
