Following a degree in Sculpture, Dorrie Young developed a deep appreciation for pencil draughting while attending a short course at Pinewood Studios nearly 25 years ago. For her, it offers the perfect balance between practicality and creativity, combining problem-solving with a strong sense of beauty and craft.
Early in her career, she was fortunate to learn from inspiring mentors while working on the Harry Potter films, and was particularly influenced by the exceptional talent of production designer Stuart Craig. Since then, she has worked across both film and theme park design, and is currently based at home contributing to a theme park project.
