Holly Stepp is the Project Archivist working with the David Bowie Archive at The V&A, based at V&A East Storehouse. She is currently completing her postgraduate diploma in Archives and Records Management at The University of Dundee, and has worked with IWM, The Barbican, The Museum of Youth Culture, and community archives including the Queer in Brighton Archive and Planet Bethlehem Archive. Her research interests are focused on musical subculture and fandom in Britain and Ireland from 1945 to 1990.

David Bowie Archive Bio
The David Bowie Archive was acquired by the V&A with support from the Blavatnik Family Foundation, Warner Music Group, and Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment Company. It was collected by David Bowie and contains 90,000 items, including paper items such as sketches, writings, lyrics, and photographic prints; and 3D items such as costumes, musical instruments, props, and set models.
All book, paper and photography material are available to view by appointment in the Bowie Study Room at V&A East Storehouse. Archive appointments are available on Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00 – 17.00. All visits are by appointment only and require 2 weeks’ notice.
